BMW Open by FWU
MUNICH - NOT TAKING PLACE
The BMW Open by FWU is the first of four German tournaments on the ATP World Tour calendar. The tournament debuted at the scenic Munich’s Iphitos Tennis Club in 1974, and over the years has seen the likes of Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Ivan Lendl and Mark Philippoussis grace the court. Alexander Zverev successfully defended his Munich crown in 2018 by overcoming compatriot Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 6-3. But in 2019, Cristian Garin was the winner as he defeated Matteo Berrettini in three sets to win his second Tour title. Due to the global outbreak of COVID-19, this year’s tournament will not proceed as scheduled.
